Friday 6 March 2026 World Book Day 2026 Yesterday our school was filled with creativity, curiosity and a whole lot of literary energy as staff and students came together to celebrate World Book Day. Our English Department set the tone for the day by stepping straight into character — arriving dressed head to toe as the cast of An Inspector Calls, one of the key texts studied by our GCSE students. Their commitment certainly brought the drama (and plenty of smiles), making literature feel even more alive in our corridors.Over in the library, students took part in two engaging activities: Name the Book from its Cover and Book Bingo. Armed with question sheets, they explored the shelves, solved clues, completed challenges, and earned some well‑deserved sweets along the way. Final winners will be revealed soon!And in true World Book Day fashion, our librarian embraced the spirit completely — spending the day as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, much to the delight of students visiting the librar

Wednesday 3 September 2025 Year 7 Tie Ceremony On Wednesday 3rd September, we were delighted to welcome our new Year 7 students for their very first day at Laureate. To mark the occasion, and to celebrate the completion of their transition into secondary school, we held our traditional Tie Ceremony.

Monday 9 June 2025 New Build Steel Signing Ceremony On Monday, a special steel signing ceremony took place to mark a major milestone in the construction of our new school building. Students and staff were invited to sign a steel beam that will become a permanent part of the finished structure—creating a symbolic and lasting connection to the future of the school.Following the ceremony, the group gathered at a viewing area to observe the construction progress and reflect on the exciting developments ahead.Our Head of Drama, Jonathan Garrett, previously an ex-student, said 'It's gratifying to know that the next generation of students will be given exciting and engaging opportunities in this fresh new space'.To celebrate the occasion, students received lunch and goody bags featuring merchandise kindly provided by Bowmer and Kirkland.

Tuesday 7 January 2025 Winter Concert 2024 On 19th December, we had our annual Winter Concert. The night featured students from all year groups performing a variety of songs showcasing their talents. The night featured orchestral performances, choirs, solos, bands and more.
