“We believe that a strong Education Enrichment programme is an essential part of raising the aspirations of our pupils and giving them both the knowledge and the skills to achieve excellence, regardless of their background or individual circumstances. We are proud of our exceptional and bespoke knowledge-rich curriculum, designed to provide knowledge that we believe will help our students succeed.
We believe knowledge is joyful and exciting, and we want our young people to develop curiosity about, and passion for, what they are learning in school. To complement our curriculum, therefore, our Educational Enrichment programme helps to bring our students’ learning to life through the provision of subject-specific field and residential trips, competitions and workshops.”
Head of Education Enrichment
Here at Laureate Academy we strive to offer a diverse enrichment programme that offers pupils a chance to learn and enjoy sport beyond their PE lessons. Across a school year, we offer sports and activities throughout their schools journey from Year 7 to Year 13. Pupils are given a chance to be coached professionally by local teams, maximising their enjoyment and progression.
Sports include: football (JP Pro), basketball (Russell Hoops), rugby, netball (Connections), table tennis, badminton, trampolining, boxing, dance, yoga, athletics (Dacorum and Tring Athletics Club), cricket, rounders and softball.
Performing Arts is a platform for all students to express themselves as well as learning about different performance genres and practitioners.
Along with developing key performance skills for further study, Performing Arts allows students to develop transferrable skills such as teamwork and communication as well as working on their confidence.
As part of their study, students will also have the opportunity to attend theatre trips and take part in guest workshops.

Careers education, information and guidance is an important part of preparing young people for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.
A planned programme of activities supports the students in choosing pathways at key transition points that suit their interests and abilities and helps them to work towards a career path and sustainable employment.
Our programme empowers young people to plan and manage their own futures.
We acknowledge that availability of information is a key factor in career choice and pathway decisions.
It raises aspirations, promotes equality, diversity, social mobility, challenges stereotypes and supports young people to achieve personal and economic well-being throughout their lives.
