“Our sixth form is a welcoming and enjoyable place to study and has a proud record of high expectations, academic success, and personal pastoral development. The teaching staff at the sixth form are dedicated to ensuring our students achieve the best possible grades and that they leave the sixth form equipped with the qualifications they need to pursue their personal dreams and ambitions.

Our teachers are subject specialists and provide our students with high quality lessons and a rigorous curriculum to help them become independent scholars and critical thinkers.

Laureate students are provided with tailored guidance to help them with their academic endeavours, with many of our students going on to study at a wide range of institutions, including Russell Group universities.

Laureate Academy sixth form provides an extensive range of enrichment and extracurricular opportunities to compliment academic studies; we incorporate regular external speakers, cubs and societies and external trips as we believe in providing our students with a holistic and enriching sixth form experience, where students can make the important transition from adolescence to adulthood.”

Pastoral care

There is strong community ethos at Laureate sixth form and we pride ourselves on our commitment to ensuring every student is treated as an individual. We have a dedicated team in the sixth form who support and guide our students through the two years they are with us.  All students are part of a form group who meet daily and where they engage in a varied and wide-ranging pastoral curriculum. We aim to ensure our students are active and knowledgeable students of the world around them. All sixth form students take part in weekly discussions of current domestic and international affairs. We also prepare students to lead healthy lives with sessions on mental and physical well-being. Sixth form students benefit from the many enrichment activities that take place at Laureate Academy, taking part in sessions on diversity, employability, financial literacy and many more.
